Fighting the rise of White Supremacy in Alaska.

Frequent Questions

What can I do?

It’s best to just ignore them. This group thrives in the spotlight. If you find a sticker or graffiti, just rip it off, cover it up. Move on with your day. The more attention they get the more we validate their cause.

Somewhere, there was a failure in community around the men in this network. Someone took advantage of these young men in their need for community and purpose.

If we continue to isolate them, “other” them, the more they will dig into their corner, right back into the people grooming them saying “I told you so”.

What is an Active Club?

Historically, Active Clubs are networks of white supremacist groups that operate all over the world. As the SPLC states, “The [groups] aims to build a hypermasculine white nationalist subculture with a clear “nationalist” aesthetic that […] promotes through an associated clothing brand and propaganda outlet.” Essentially, it sounds a lot better to say you are a part of an Active Club than the KKK.

Is this website advocating White Supremacy?

We are not. Our goal is to combat white supremacy through education, outreach, and understanding.

How do I know if someone I love is being influenced by white supremacists?

Online tactics are cleverly hidden and there are plenty of bad actors influencing others for nefarious reasons. Check resources like this at the Southern Poverty Law Center.

What else can I do?

Maintain an open mindset. Stand up for people. Many folks in the Active Club movement were selectively groomed and indoctrinated. Through understanding and openness to change we can make a better future.
